Coming into tonight’s contest between the New York Islanders and the Vegas Golden Knights, the Islanders got their road trip of seven games off to a good start with victories against the New York Rangers and the New Jersey Devils. But now they face some of the top teams in the NHL in the Western Conference. Beginning with the Vegas Golden Knights on the first of back-to-back games they take on Utah Mammoth tomorrow night. But let’s turn on attention back to the Golden Knights, some things that this reporter will be monitoring in the game this evening will be how the New York Islanders will keep their energy up knowing that they have a game tomorrow night in Utah. Some things to also keep an eye out for are the matchups like Matthew Barzel versus Jack Eichel. It will be interesting to watch which of these teams gets the upper hand tonight. Coming into tonight’s action, the New York Islanders have their four-game winning streak broken by the Philadelphia Flyers on Sunday afternoon. Unfortunately for the New York Islanders they had to take on the Boston Bruins on Tuesday night and ultimately came up short. Now they turn their attention to one of the hottest teams in the NHL, the Hurricanes. Some key matchups for tonight’s game include Matthew Barzal and Matthew Schaefer against Sebastian Aho and Seth Jarvis. It will be interesting to see which of these teams can come out on top tonight. David Riddick is expected to get the start tonight versus the Hurricanes. The Islanders are on the first set of back-to-back games. They play in Washington tomorrow night versus Alexander Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals. We will need all the help we can get for  this back-to-back.
