Good afternoon New York Islander fans, this is your favorite sports reporter coming to you from my house on this sunny but windy day bringing you a preview of the New York Islanders versus Toronto Maple Leaf’s game live from UBS Arena in Elmont, NY. Coming into tonight’s actions the New York Islanders have a record of 42 wins, 31 defeats and 5 overtime defeats for a grand total of 89 points, which puts them in one of the two wild card spots in the Eastern Conference Stanley Cup Playoff picture. Unfortunately, we are coming into the final six games of the seasons on a 4-game losing streak resulting in the firing of Patrick Roy! Hopefully the new coach in Peter Dabor will be able to stabilize the ship before the playoffs begin. Peter Dabor signed a four-year contract extension to stay with the Islanders beginning next year. On the other side, the Toronto Maple Leaf’s have not had a good year at all with the loss of their captain Austin Matthews for the remainder of their season and players like the aforementioned John Taveres getting older. It looks like Toronto will have to go through a complete rebuild to compete in the NHL next season. Some key matchups that I will be listening for include William Nylander and John Taveres. For the Maple Leaf’s versus Bo Horvat and Emil Heineman. It should be an interesting contest tonight. Good evening New York Knicks fans, this is your favorite sports reporter coming to you from my house on this sunny but windy day bringing you a preview of what potentially could be an NBA Finals preview for this year in the New York Knicks versus the Oklahoma City Thunder. Coming into this evenings actions the New York Knicks are currently sitting in 3^rd place in the Eastern Conference standings with a record of 48 victories 26 defeats Led by the captain Jalen Brunson the New York Knicks look like they are ready to make a deep playoff run this year in the NBA, Meanwhile on the other side of the court the Oklahoma City Thunder led by SGA are the team to beat in the Western Conference sitting comfortably in the top spot in the West. And they look make it back-to-back titles this post season. Some key matchups and I will be looking forward to in tonight’s contest include the aforementioned Jalen Brunson against SGA Who is most likely to win MVP this year. New York will need to have a good team effort if they want to slow down the thunder’s dynamic offense! Meanwhile the Toronto Maple Leafs have had a roller coaster of a season to this day with a record of 29 victories and 27 defeats for a grand total of 70 points which puts them in 7^th place in the Atlantic Division standings. Led by Jalen Brunson the Knicks and to come from behind in order to security victory with the captain scoring in Game High of 29 points in the victory. With the win over Indiana the Knicks now have a record of 43 victories and 25 defeats putting them in 3^rd place in the Eastern Conference standing. Meanwhile the New York Knicks opponent for this Evenings contest in the Warriors have a record of 32 victories and 34 defeat putting them in 9^th place in the Western Conference standings. The Warriors do not have Stephen Curry Jimmy Butler and other key players Due to injury! However they do have the aforementioned Draymond Green who has a pest throughout his entire career! You hate him when the opponent has but you love him when he is on your team he brings the toughness your team might need to make a playoff run. They also have the Unicorn in the former New York Knickerbocker who got traded to Golden State from the Atlanta Hawks a couple a weeks ago in Kristaps Porziņģis.
