Islanders acquire Jordan Eberle in exchange for Ryan Strome

 

Hello there, New York Islander fans. I am coming to you live from Hockey Headquarters in New York City and bringing you the latest NHL news from around the league. Last night on June 22nd, the Islanders traded Ryan Strome to the Oilers in exchange for Jordan Eberle. This comes as a questionable move. This won't hurt the Islanders, but there will be fans who are going question Garth Snow's trade. The real question is if Eberle will be a good fit to help out John Tavares on the first line. With Eberle scoring at least 20 goals for the last 5 season, maybe his outstanding play will improve and potentially help the Islanders make it to the dance (playoffs). I guess we will have to just wait and see. Islander fans hold on to your caps because this is going to be one wild hockey season. The New York Yankees on fire!

Hello there New York Yankees fans I am coming to live from Yankee stadium in the Bronx New York where the New York Yankees look to stay hot against the BALTIMORE ORIOLES.  Coming into today game against the ORIOLES the Yankees are sitting on top of the American league east with a record of 36 and 23.  The Yankees took two out of three games from the Boston red sox in their last series.  And the bats came to life in last night's game the Yankees blasted five home runs in A 16 To 3 win over the orioles last night.  The Yankees have been getting contributions up and down their lineup, one major factor in the Yankees lineup has been the play of rookie Aaron Judge who has blasted 19 home run in his first full major league season.  But that is not all the Yankees pitching has been a big surprise as well lead by Carl Charles Sabathia, Sabathia having a outstanding year with a 7 and 2 record with a Era of 3.66 this season hopefully the Yankees can keep the good times going well that is all for now the reporting live from Yankee stadium this has been Mr. Lightning thanks for reading!  PS you can catch all of today action at 1:05 P M on the YES network let's go Yankees

Hello there hockey fans I am back coming to you live from New York hockey headquarters where I have your Stanley cup prediction write here.  Well it all comes down to this there are two teams fighting for lord's Stanley cup.  It will either be the Pittsburgh penguins or the NASHVILLE predators in the 2017 Stanley CUP finals.  Both of the team's have played some outstanding hockey to get to this point in the season the Pittsburgh penguins are trying to win back to back Stanley cups while the NASHVILLE predators are trying to win their first Stanley cup in team history.  Coming into the matchup on Monday night I believe the predators have the better defense but the penguins have more talent up front.  IT BE interesting to see who wins it might come down to who has the better Goaltender you never can tell what is going to happen in the Stanley cup playoffs!  That is why I am picking the predators in six games that's right you heard it here first the Nashville predators are your 2017 Stanley cup champion!  Well that is all for now this has been Mr. Lightning reporting live from New York hockey headquarters thanks for reading PS let's go predictors

DO OR DIE x1000 For The Islanders

Hello New York Islander Fans! I am coming to you live from PNC Arena in North Carolina where the Islanders get set to take on the Carolina Hurricanes. The puck drops at 7pm eastern time. Coming into tonight's action the Islanders have 88 points and are currently in third place in the wild card running behind Toronto Maple Leaves. The New York Rangers clinched the first wild card spot so its a battle between the Maple Leaves and the Islanders. With three games remaining in the Islander season their destiny is out of there hands. The Maple Leaves have to lose their remaining games in order for the Islanders to have any shot of making the playoffs. For the Islanders every game is like an elimination playoff game and have to win out for that chance to make it to the "Dance". The Hurricanes are 19th on the power plays, 5th on penalty kills and 18th under goals against. where as the Islanders are 28th on their power plays, 12th on the penalty kills and 25th under goals against. It's been a tough decision who should get the start in net for the Islanders tonight but Jaroslav Halak will get the nod. He will go up against  goalie Eddie Lack that is starting for the Hurricanes. If the Islanders manage to win tonight they will be one step closer to the playoffs. Even thought 2/3 of their remaining games are on the road the Islanders, have won their last three games away. Playing away from home, which sounds like a disadvantage might be a good thing for because the fact that they won the last three games as visitors. Hopefully the Islanders can pick up a big two points to keep this Cinderella story alive. The New York Islanders playoff push continues!
