The New York Islanders begin the 2025 NHL season tonight in Pittsburgh versus the Penguins

 

Good morning New York Islander fans, this is your favorite sports reporter bringing you a preview of the start of the 2025 NHL regular season for the New York Islanders. Coming into the 2025 - 2026 NHL season, the New York Islanders have no expectations according to many NHL experts. But as a long-time New York Islander fan this reporter can see a glimmer of hope with Matthew Schaefer and Matthew Barzal carving the way for this young but talented team. The New York Islanders will have Bo Horvat and Anders Lee back in the fold for this year, hopefully we can get off to a good start. It all starts tonight at 7:00 PM when we take on Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins. I will be watching; you should do the same.
