The New York Islanders take on the Avalanche tonight live from UBS Arena

Good morning New York Islander fans, this is your favorite sports reporter bringing you a preview of New York Islanders vs Colorado Avalanche game tonight from UBS Arena in Elmont, NY. Coming into this evening’s action, the New York Islanders are coming off of a win in their previous game on Tuesday night over the Tampa Bay Lightning. They will look to build off their momentum when they take on their former teammate in Brock Nelson and Colorado Avalanche, it is the first time back at UBS Arena for Brock Nelson since the New York Islanders traded Brock to Colorado during last year’s NHL trade deadline. Nelson who was a New York Islander for the first 10 ½ years of his career, I believe he will get a standing ovation tonight, along with a video tribute. It will be interesting to see how the home crowd receives him tonight. Now to the action on the ice, some key matchups that I will be looking forward to in tonight’s action include Matthew Schaefer versus Cale Makar and Anders Lee versus Marty Necas. The Islanders will need to have one of their better defensive performances of the year if they want to control the Colorado Avalanche dynamic offense. I will be working the game so come work for me at the bottom of the Great Hall steps. You can catch all the actio
n beginning tonight at 7:00 PM with my friends Brendan Burke and Shannon Hogan on the call on MSG Plus. Enjoy the game everyone stay warm and stay healthy Yes Yes Yes!

The New York Islanders play the Tampa Bay Lightning tonight from UBS Arena

Good evening New York Islander fans, this is your favorite sports reporter bringing you a preview of tonight’s contest between your New York Islanders and the Tampa Bay Lightning. Coming into this evening’s action the New York Islanders are trying to get back to their winning ways at home. The New York Islanders have come up short in the last couple of contests after returning home from very successful road trip. Some matchups that I will be looking forward to in two nights contest will be Brandon Hegel versus Matthew Barzal, Nikita Kucherov versus Bo Horvat, with the loss of Kyle Palmieri for the rest of the season due to a torn ACL. It will be interesting to see who steps up in the scoring department for the New York Islanders. The Lightning are on a 7 game winning streak coming into tonight’s contest, so I am interested to see if the New York Islanders will have the home crowd behind them this evening. I will be working the game this evening, so come look for me at the bottom of the Great Hall steps. Let’s go New York Islanders. Yes Yes Yes! You can catch all the action on MSG + beginning at 7:00 PM. Stay warm everyone. Enjoy the game and thanks for reading.
