The New York Islanders wrap up their road trip tonight in Detroit, Michigan

Hello there New York Islander fans, this is your favorite sports reporter bringing you a preview of the New York Islanders final game on their 7 game road trip from Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, MI. Coming into tonight’s action the New York Islanders are five and one on their current seven game road trip. Picking up victories against the New York Rangers, New Jersey Devils, Vegas Golden Knights, Utah mammoth and most recently the Dallas Stars. This reporter was pleasantly surprised when the orange and blue set out on this road trip, I did not think the road trip would produce this kind of team chemistry, but I am glad I was wrong! Now the New York Islanders have a record of 11 victories, 7  defeats and two overtime defeats, which puts them in 4^th place in the Metropolitan Division with a grand total of 24 points this season so far. Now let’s turn our attention to this evening’s contest between go orange and blue and the Detroit Red Wings. Some things that this reporter will be keeping an eye on in this evenings contest will be the energy level for the New York Islanders, knowing that they are going home after tonight’s game and playing the Seattle cracking on Sunday afternoon. Coming into tonight’s contest versus the Stars the Islanders will be looking to bounce back from there previous contest on Sunday night. Coming into tonight’s contest between the New York Islanders and the Vegas Golden Knights, the Islanders got their road trip of seven games off to a good start with victories against the New York Rangers and the New Jersey Devils. But now they face some of the top teams in the NHL in the Western Conference. Beginning with the Vegas Golden Knights on the first of back-to-back games they take on Utah Mammoth tomorrow night. But let’s turn on attention back to the Golden Knights, some things that this reporter will be monitoring in the game this evening will be how the New York Islanders will keep their energy up knowing that they have a game tomorrow night in Utah. Coming into tonight’s action, the New York Islanders have their four-game winning streak broken by the Philadelphia Flyers on Sunday afternoon. Unfortunately for the New York Islanders they had to take on the Boston Bruins on Tuesday night and ultimately came up short. Now they turn their attention to one of the hottest teams in the NHL, the Hurricanes.
