The New York Islanders wrap up their road trip tonight in Detroit, Michigan

Hello there New York Islander fans, this is your favorite sports reporter bringing you a preview of the New York Islanders final game on their 7 game road trip from Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, MI. Coming into tonight’s action the New York Islanders are five and one on their current seven game road trip. Picking up victories against the New York Rangers, New Jersey Devils, Vegas Golden Knights, Utah mammoth and most recently the Dallas Stars. This reporter was pleasantly surprised when the orange and blue set out on this road trip, I did not think the road trip would produce this kind of team chemistry, but I am glad I was wrong! Now the New York Islanders have a record of 11 victories, 7  defeats and two overtime defeats, which puts them in 4th place in the Metropolitan Division with a grand total of 24 points this season so far. Now let’s turn our attention to this evening’s contest between go orange and blue and the Detroit Red Wings. Some things that this reporter will be keeping an eye on in this evenings contest will be the energy level for the New York Islanders, knowing that they are going home after tonight’s game and playing the Seattle cracking on Sunday afternoon. I will be working so come look for me at the bottom of the great hall steps Back to the matchup for today, some players that I will be monitoring closely this evening will be Patrick Kane versus Bo Horvat and Matthew Barzal versus Dylan Larkin. It will be interesting to see which of these teams come out with more energy to secure the two points in the standings. You can catch the game tonight on MSG + with my friends Branden Burke and Shannon Hogan on the call beginning at 7:00 PM. Let’s go New York Islanders. Yes Yes Yes
