Good afternoon New York Islander fans, This is your
favorite sports reporter coming to you from my house on this sunny day bringing
you a preview of the New York Islanders New Jersey Devils game tonight from UBS
Arena in Elmont NY. Coming into this evening’s action the New York Islanders
began their 2026 2027 hockey season with a defeat at the hands of the Toronto
Maple Leafs by the final score of two to one on Wednesday night. Meanwhile on
the other side of the ice the New Jersey Devils come into tonight’s action with
a record 1 victory at one defeat Defeating the Philadelphia Flyers in their
most recent contest. Now let us turn our attention to this evening’s contest.
With the departure of Anders Lee to the Utah mammoth in free agency Over this
past summer the Islanders Now turn the captain over to Bo Horvat who was the
captain of the Vancouver Canucks for many years, I believe Mr Horvat will do an
excellent job becoming our new team captain! Some key matchup to watch for in
tonight’s contest include Jack Hughes in the aforementioned Bo Horvat It should
be interesting to see what type of energy the Islanders home crowd we’ll bring
tonight luckily I will be working the game New York Islanders we’ll have to get
their home crowd behind them early if they want secure the first victory of
their season you can catch all of the action Beginning tonight At 7:30 PM with
my friends Shannon Hogan and Brendan Burke on the call on MSG plus well that’s
