Good evening Islander fans, I am coming to you from NYCB where the Isles aim to knock off the predators and tally their 22rd win. The Islanders are currently riding a 3 game win streak and are looking to make it 4. The Predators are sitting  at 15-12-6 (35) points which is only good enough for 6th place in the central division of the western conference. The Isles have been lighting that red lamp up an awful lot lately and hope to keep it up, as Barzel, Anders Lee and will lead tonight’s team. The Islanders will continue with their goalie rotation as Thomas Greiss will get the call tonight, as we are expecting Rinne to be minding the goal for the Predators. Let’s Go Islanders!! Islanders Go for 8 Straight

Hello there NY Islander faithful, I am back with all of your up to date news. The 2019-2020 NY Islanders got off to a rocky start with the Isles dropping 4 of their first 6 games, but have since went on a run rattling off 7 in a row, and looking to make it 8 this evening! Coming into tonight’s action the Islanders  are sitting at 8-3, tallying 15 points. Their opponent in Tampa Bay sports a 6-3 record tallying 11 points on the season thus far. In-between the pipes, we have quite a matchup for you. For the Lightning you have  Andre Vasilevsky who is coming off a rough outing himself, letting up 3 goals before being pulled in the 2nd period of the Lightning’s last game, so it is safe to say he needs to rebound from that underwhelming performance. For your NY Islanders you have Thomas Greiss the veteran as it is his turn in the rotation due to the fact that he and Semyen Varlamov are on a 50/50 time split as of now. Well Buckley up Islander fans, we should be in for a good one tonight!!!!! Let’s Go Islanders!!!!! Yes!! Yes!! Yes!!

Isles brings 2020 campaign

Hello there  NY Islander fans, yes, the  2019-2020 season  kicks off tonight at the coliseum. Coming into the season the Isles veteran

presence is significant, bring back Lee, Eberle and nelson. With the departure of Lehnar, Varlamov was brought in to fill the void. On the other side the Caps have the same roster they fielded last season for the most part. In a surprising scenario the Isles first round pick has made the roster and hopes are high we will build on what coach Trotz started last year! Let’s Go Isles, yes! Yes! Yes!

Yanks And Sox Round 5

Buckley is Bacckkk!!!! Yankees begin their last home stand of the 2019 season with a showdown against hated rival Red Sox!! With the playoffs looming this 4 game series will either destroy or keep alive the RedSox wildcard hopes, while the Yanks have been the hammer of the AL east with no signs of slowing down. The Yankees come into tonight’s game with a record of 92 and 48 while the Sox come into the series with a record of 75 and 63. Over the past couple weeks the Yanks have been beating up on the teams in the basement of the American League as they look to solidify their 2nd consecutive 100 win season as well as home field advantage through out the playoffs. On the other side the Red Sox have had an up and down season as defending WS champs. Several positives coming out of Red Sox camp are Rafael Devers who is having a career year, as well as Xander Bogaerts notching his first 30 homer in season of his career. Domingo German is the scheduled starter for this evening against the Red Sox,  who knew he would be the Yankees most consistent starter with the talent their pitching staff consists of . German with 17 wins leads all of baseball with that number. While the Red Sox starting pitching seems to be up in the air, at least as far as this evenings matchup goes. Hopefully the Yanks bats remain hot and proceed to bury their biggest rival. As well as hope to silence the bats of the likes of Mookie Betts, JD Martinez and Rafael Devers.

2019 NHL Free Agency Wrap Up

Although it seemed as if the talk of the town was the record hype  surrounding the NBA’s free agent class with the likes of Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, Kemba Walker, Jimmy Butler, Kawhi Leonard and Paul George all seeking new homes, I will not allow that to take away from this years wild and crazy NHL Free Agency class. Some of the more notable names across the league have been on the move. For starters we will go with the local teams, my NY Islanders have been quite busy by trying to retain the young core of their lineup which includes the likes of Anders-Lee, Brock Nelson, and Jordan Eberle which were all successful transactions. Unfortunately there  is a salary cap in the NHL, which makes it near impossible to sign or resign everyone. That being said, the Islanders were unable to retain one of their starting goalies in Robin Lehner who signed a 1 year deal with the Chicago Blackhawks, but to make up for the loss the Islanders went out and inked the veteran goaltender from the Colorado Avalanche Varlomov to a 4 year deal. Now, the cross town rivals, the New York Rangers, well we all know the big splash that they went out and made. The signing of Panarin who was sought after by most of the NHL, and that includes specifically their rival NY Islanders, but for undisclosed reasons he went with the NY Rangers, because it’s attractive to most athletes to attempt a big bite out of the Big Apple. This will also fuel the fire that is the NY Islander/NY Ranger rivalry.
Some of the other notable free agency signing from around the league include Sergei Bobrovsky to the Florida Panthers on a 7 year deal and the signing of Anton Stralman, which will serve as a huge boost to their defense. Some notable signings from the west include the big name Matt Duchesne
who will be leaving Columbus after a simply stellar campaign with the Blue  Jackets and will be heading to Music City (Nashville, TN) where he was born and raised. While the Predators made the big splash offensively in landing Duchesne they unfortunately were unable to keep their defense in tact with the loss of Co-captain, PK Subban. Some of the other moves include the Blues resigning the young phenom goaltender in Jordan Biddington to a 2 year deal, Kucherov re upped with Tampa Bay on an 8 year deal, Eric Karlsson will remain with the San Jose Sharks as will Evandro Kane for the foreseeable future. So there you have it NHL fans, we are poised for an exciting, hard hitting, hard fighting 2019-2020 regular season, which kicks off  the first week of October. Buckley up friends, it’s going to be a season to remember!!!!!!

Follow Up On Wild NBA Free Agency 2019

Hello there NBA fans, i’m Coming to you live from New York, please excuse my lengthy absence, I was away at camp for the past few weeks. So, it seems that all of the big names have found their new homes, and unfortunately other teams have came up empty, and that includes our hometown New York Knicks. Let’s start with some fireworks, Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving have decided to team up and take their talents to Brooklyn, NY where they hope to imprint their names in the Nets record books,  both signing a 3 year deal that comes with a 4th year player option, keeping in mind we won’t see Durant on the court for a majority of this coming year due to injury. (ACL).  Other notable signings in the east are Kemba Walker going over to the Boston Celtics and Jimmy Butler heads to South Beach where he hopes to bring another title. Jumping to the Western conference for some more fireworks, it’s old news now, but by now we all know Anthony Davis has joined LeBron in LA along with Boogie Cousins as they hope to form the NBAs next version of a Big 3 in hopes to bring another title back to Hollywood. Of course who can forget about the reigning NBA Finals MVP in Kawhi Leonard! He has shipped out to the west coast as well, but will be sporting Clipper red white and blue along with the likes of Paul George and Patrick Beverly in hopes to bring a title to the little brother in Hollywood. Wrapping up, we have the news that broke last night involving the Houston Rockets and the OKC Thunder, it seems that Russel Westbrook will be teaming up with the runner up to  the MVP award,  (the bearded one)  in James Harden for the second time in their careers hoping to conquer what they could not in OKC some years back, and that is a championship to H town.

NBA Free Agency Impending

Hello there NBA fans, the 2019 NBA free agency is upon us. To begin we have the likes of Kyrie Irving, Kemba Walker, Klay Thompson, Kawhi Leonard and Kevin Durant are all seeking new contracts and possibly new homes. With rumors swirling in regards to the landing spots of these players we have heard rumblings such as Kyrie and KD to the Nets or Knicks, Kemba to Boston and Kawhi to possibly either LA team as well as staying put in Toronto. But again, these are all rumors with no merit until June 30th because ultimately nobody knows what is going through these guys minds. But what we do know is that we are set for me of the biggest free agencies the NBA has seen to date. So Buckley up NBA fans, it’s going to be a wild and fun ride!!!!

2019 NBA is Upon us

Hello there NBA fans, one of the most important nights is here, the draft. According to reports with the 1st overall pick, New Orleans is expected to take the superstar from Duke in Zion Williamson, now that Anthony Davis is nothing more than a memory for the respected franchise. To round out the top 3 Memphis could be looking at Ja Morant after trading Mike Conley Jr. to the Jazz, while the Knicks are zeroed in on another Duke stud in RJ Barrett. The Knicks have not had a top 3 pick in the draft lottery since 1985 when they took Patrick Ewing, so the pressure is upper management to get this right. A couple of other scenarios could quite possible shake up the draft, you have guys like Darius Garland, Coby White and  Carson Edwards who have been all rumored to be working out for some of the teams that happen to hold possession of some of the top picks. So tune in this evening 7pm et  on ESPN to see where the dominos fall and who goes where!!!

Hello sports fans, I am coming to you live from Caumsett Park in Long Island, NY. Where we are anxiously awaiting the faceoff between the St. Louis Blues and the Boston Bruins with the Stanley Cup on the line. Both teams have worked incredibly hard to get here, and they will both need to lay it all on the line in order to accomplish their goals. The Blues are seeking the franchises’ first Stanley Cup, with their only cup appearance being in 1970. While the Bruins seek to win the franchises’ 4th Stanley Cup. It should be a very aggressive but conservative game from both sides with some stellar goaltending on behalf of both teams, Rask for Boston and Biddington for St. Louis!! BUCKLEY UP!!! Hockey fans, and enjoy the experience live at 8pm et, on NBC Sports. Let’s Go Blues!!!!

The probable starters for the respective teams are Masahiro Tanaka with a 3-5 record and an era of 3.5, while Jason Vargas has a similar stat line at 2-3 and an era of 3.57. Pete Alonso looks to keep his bat hot for the Mets while Didi Gregorious fresh off the IL recovering from Tommy John surgery looks to maintain his hot offensive start to his abbreviated season. On the mound we will have a matchup of J. Haap vs the struggling Chris Sale who hopes to resurrect his rough start to 2019. NBA Finals 2019

Hello there basketball fans! I am coming to you live from NBA headquarters in New York City, getting you ready for 2019 NBA finals between Kyle Lowery Kawhi Leonard and the Toronto Raptors vs Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and the rest of the Warriors coming into this Thursday nights matchup. The Toronto Raptors are making their first NBA finals appearance ever. Meanwhile the Golden State Warriors are defending NBA champs. Both teams had to work hard to get to where they are now. Both of these teams have significant injuries to overcome. Kevin Durant is dealing with a hamstring injury while Kawhi Leonard is suffering from a slight back problem. In the previous rounds Kawhi Leonard averaged thirty points to lead the Raptors against the Milwaukee Bucks. On the other hand, Stephen Curry averaged thirty seven points, leading the warriors to victory over the Portland trailblazers. I for one am looking foreword to a great NBA finals matchup. Starting this Thursday at 9pm on ABC you can catch all the actions. Let’s go Raptors!

Yanks Prepare for 3 Game Set With KC

Hello there NY Yankee fans, I'm coming to you live from Kauffman Stadium, in Kansas City, Missouri where the Yankees will battle the Royals in a 3 game set over the weekend.  The Yankees just keep on rolling at the behest of their young and inexperienced farm system players, it's actually quite unfathomable and a joy to see. The royals on the other hand are off to a disappointing first 2 months to kick of their 2019 season.  The Yankees have been a high scoring offense while getting exemplary pitching performances from guys like Domingo German, CC Sabathia and Masahiro Tanaka, it also does not hurt that they happen to have the best bullpen in baseball.  Hopefully the good times keep on coming out in KC this upcoming weekend. GO YANKEES!!!!!!!!!!!!

Raptors Look to even ECF at 2 Games A Piece

Hello all, I am coming to you live from New York where we are awaiting tonight’s ECF matchup in Toronto where Kawhi Leonard and Kyle Lowery look to even up the series with the Milwaukee Bucks at 2 games a piece. In the previous game the Raptors managed to get on the board with a much needed W, Leonard led the way with 36 points in the 2 OT victory while Giannis fouled out after tallying 12 points.  Hopefully the Drake curse is a myth/joke and the Raptors will get the job done  at home, haha LOL. Only time will tell, but Leonard and Lowry both need to show up with their A games if they have any illusions of going back to Milwaukee in a virtual tie in the series. Milwaukee May have other plans as they are the clear favorite and powerhouse of the Eastern Conference.  “Buckley Up” and enjoy the ride, it should be a rollercoaster!!! Catch the action tonight at 8:30 pm et on the TNT  network with Marv Albert, Chris Webber and Reggie Miller.

NY Yankees Try To Claim AL East

Hello there NY Yankee fans, I am coming to you live on a rainy day from Belmont Park. The Yankees are getting ready for their second 3 game set in as many days. The Yankees are still sitting 1/2 a game out of first as they turn to their veteran left hander CC Sabathia this evening for the series opener at 7:10 pm. In the Yanks most recent games they are coming off a clean sweep of the Baltimore  Orioles in their shortened series due to inclement weather earlier this week. The bombers look to build off of that momentum and continue their winning ways. You can catch all the action on the YES network starting at 7pm with Michael Kay, Paul O’Neill and Merideth Marocovic. Let’s start this series off right, Go Yanks!!!!!!

NY Yankees Open Series VS Orioles

Hello there NY Yankee fans, i’m Coming to you live from a wet and soggy Yankee Stadium. The Yanks are hoping to build off of their momentum after taking 2 out of 3 from the 1st place Rays. Coming into tonight’s action the Yankees are  1/2 a game out of first while the Orioles are in the basement of the AL  east.  The Yankees should be able to handle the Orioles as long as they don’t play down to their opponent. It is remarkable how this young team has responded while the Yankees have been bitten by the injury bug, it’s nothing short of a miracle. Good news on the injury front  for the New York Yankees with the activation of Aaron Hicks this evening. In the coming weeks we should see the re emergence of Yankee studs Giancarlo Stanton and Aaron Judge, until then let’s hope the young guns can keep up the high pace that they have been.

Do Or Die For NY

Hello there NY Islander fans, I am coming to you live from PNC Arena where the Islanders are facing the nearly impossible task of ripping off 4 games in a row to advance to the ECF. During these first 3 games it’s been a lopsided series in favor of the Canes, the Isles lack of goal scoring has been their downfall this series. While Carolina has been able to score pretty much at will. While the Islanders are not quite done yet, it will take nothing short of a miracle for them to make this a series! In order for the Isles to keep the series alive starting Thomas Greiss in between the pipes seems like the move to be made here. Hopefully Barry Trotz feels the same way.  Hopefully the Isles put  the puck in the back of the net, otherwise the off-season begins tomorrow. Go Islanders, YES YES YES!!!!!  You Can catch the game at 7pm et on NBCSN...

Win Or Go Home In Game 7 Dual

Hello hockey fans, I am coming to you live from the home of the defending Stanley Cup Champs in Washington, DC at Capital One Arena.  Where the defending Stanley Cup Champions have been pushed to the brink and if they have any illusions of repeating it begins with a critical Game 7 on their home ice this evening.  No one expected the young Carolina Hurricanes to have much of a chance in this series.  I, like most of you out there, saw the Caps wrapping this up in somewhat easy fashion. But now we have a real series on our hands and from an Islander fan perspective LETS GO CANES!!!!! The Hurricanes would clearly be the more favorable matchup for the Islanders being that the Isles handled them with ease during the regular season.  The Capitals on the other hand split with our Islanders this year going back to October when the regular season began.  As far as goaltending is concerned  it would certainly be easier to deal with Peter Mrazek in between the pipes as opposed to Braden Holtby. But hey, it is the NHL playoffs and certain players catch fire at odd times.  So you can be sure the Islanders will be tuned in this evening to see whether they will be staying put in NY as the 2nd round gets underway, or traveling the open road to Washington, DC. You can catch tonights Game 7 between the Caps and Canes on NBCSN channel 212 on your  optimum cablevision provider. Lets Go Canes!!!!!!!
