Salute to the Captain

Hello Baseball Fans!! I am coming to you from outside Fenway Park where I have just witnessed the end of an era. Jeter is the Joe Dimaggio of our generation.  He finished with 3,465 hits (6th all time), 260 home runs, 358 stolen bases, 1,923 runs scores over a 19 year career all in pinstripes. Jeter was known as the face of baseball. Everywhere Jeter went, everyone looked up to him and respected him. I have great respect for Mr. Jeter. I will miss his class in the game of baseball. Some of the gifts he received over his final year as a Yankee included second base from Fenway Park with his #2 painted on it, a piece of the green monster, a rocking chair, a kayak, a surfboard, gold clubs, cowboy boots, and most improtantly money for his Turn 2 Foundation. In closing, there will never be another Derek Jeter. Thank you for all the memories, this reporter will cherish them forever. Good Luck in whatever you do. Thank you Jeter! We all will miss you!!! Last time I spoke to you guys about the roomer of Eric Bledsoe this reporter thought that Bledsoe was headed to the Minnesota Timberwolves it turned out of the blue that the phoenix suns had other ideas, this reporter is not shocked by this move but what is shocking to me is the fact that the suns  would pay Mr Bledsoe  70 million over the course of a five years. Sad Day for Ray

Greetings sports fans. It's the number 1 reporter on wheels. Don't let the wheelchair fool you, I'm the best darn reporter around. I get the facts straight for the players mouths. Holler at your boy, as Stephen A. would say. TMZ released video footage captured by an elevator camera showing Ray Rice strike his wife to be in the face...and knocking her out cold. We couldn't see the events prior to the altercation. Once in the elevator though, Janay Palmer (now Mrs. Rice) appeared to lunge at Ray, at which point he struck her in the face without hesitation. In response to the shocking video footage, The Baltimore Ravens elected to release Ray Rice to avoid tarnishing the teams name any further. Following his release, the NFL placed an indefinite ban on the participation of Ray Rice in any and all NFL activities. You should never strike a woman like Ray did, it's just wrong. The NFL did an excellent job making it clear that this type of behavior will not be tolerated in their league. Hopefully Ray Rice has learned ahis lesson. Jason Terry Finds a new Home in Houston

Here we go again, NBA fans. Jason Terry is on the move again. His latest landing spot finds him in Houston. He was acquired by the Rockets in exchange for a package deal including Alonzo Gee and other unguaranteed contracts. This gives the Kings the option to waive these players in order to free up cap space. This move makes Houston the 5th team to boast Jason Terry as a scoring option off the bench in only 4 years. Hopefully, this new landing spot will bring back the Jet. Good luck Jason Terry.

USA Basketball FIBA World Cup Roster

Breaking news, USA Basketball has finalized its 12 man roster. Unfortunately, for many talented players, they were cut from the final roster. Some of the last players to be cut were Kyle Korver, Damian Lillard, Chandler Parsons, and Gordon Hayward. There were a lot of big name players who opted out of the tournament. Players like Kevin Durant, Lebron James, Carmelo Anthony, Kevin Love, and Blake Griffin all had their various reasons not to suit up this time. Blake Griffin withdrew because his doctors advised against playing to prevent further injury to his back. I still believe that USA Men's National Team has enough fire power to compete for a medal at this year's tournament, but they're going to face some tough competition. Let's root our boys home, GO TEAM USA!!

Let me give you a little bit of mis hammon career numbers. Becky Played 16 seasons in the WNBA.  She averaged 17 0.6 points per game.funLittle note her teammates would call her hot hands because of her ability to make a big shot when her team needed it!I am deeply saddened to see one of the greatest WNBA career come to an end but I hear she has a job on Gregg Popovich coaching staff next year. In the second preseason game of Johnny's Football pro career, he completed 7 of 16 passes for only 65 yards and 1 touchdown. Johnny Manziel is having a rough go of it, trying to get acclimated to his new organization. Though his play on the field won't open many eyes in his second game, his antics will surely have the sports critics buzzing. Unfortunately for Cleveland Brown's fans, the major highlight of Johnny's game was when he gave the Redskins bench the middle finger. Poor Johnny. He will never learn, will he?
