Coming into tonight’s action the New York Islanders are trying to bounce back after a disappointing game versus the Buffalo Sabers in the last contest, coming up short in a shootout over the Sabers on Saturday afternoon. They will look to build off their momentum when they take on their former teammate in Brock Nelson and Colorado Avalanche, it is the first time back at UBS Arena for Brock Nelson since the New York Islanders traded Brock to Colorado during last year’s NHL trade deadline. This is your favorite sports reporter coming to you from my house on this overcast day bringing you a preview of the New York Islanders vs Boston Bruins game tonight from UBS Arena in Elmont, NY. Coming into this evening’s action, the New York Islanders sit in 3rd place in the Metropolitan Division, with a record of 13 wins, 8 defeats and two overtime defeats for a grand total of twenty-eight points. So far this season, the New York Islanders are coming off a very impressive win versus the Seattle Kraken in their last game! It took a shootout to secure the two points, but we got it done. This reporter was pleasantly surprised when the orange and blue set out on this road trip, I did not think the road trip would produce this kind of team chemistry, but I am glad I was wrong! Coming into tonight’s contest between the New York Islanders and the Vegas Golden Knights, the Islanders got their road trip of seven games off to a good start with victories against the New York Rangers and the New Jersey Devils. But now they face some of the top teams in the NHL in the Western Conference. Beginning with the Vegas Golden Knights on the first of back-to-back games they take on Utah Mammoth tomorrow night. But let’s turn on attention back to the Golden Knights, some things that this reporter will be monitoring in the game this evening will be how the New York Islanders will keep their energy up knowing that they have a game tomorrow night in Utah.
