Yankee fans. The wait is finally over. The 2024 Yankee regular season begins today,
and this is your favorite sports reporter bringing you all the latest
information before this season kicks off with a bang. Our New York Yankees are
trying to put last year behind them. They finished the 2023 regular season with
a record of 82 victories and 80 defeats. So, this offseason we went out and acquired
one of the game’s top young superstars, Juan Soto.
Unfortunately, the
Yankees will be without the services of their ace starting pitcher Gerrit Cole
for the first two months of the regular season while he recovers from an arm
injury. But I believe the Yankees, with their new toy in Soto, a healthy Judge
(fingers crossed), a healthy Rizzo (fingers crossed), strong middle infielders Gleyber
Torres and Anthony Volpe, new acquisition Verdugo, and a deep bullpen, will
have enough fire power to overcome they're injuries.
It all begins today
against the hated Houston Astros live from Minute Maid Park in Houston. Coverage
starts today at 3:00 PM on the YES network, with first pitch just after 4:00. Let's
